HAPPY NEW YEAR 2018! 

Time is an illusion, in reality I believe less in all these happy new year things, but it's good still,  looking at it from a perspective that it helps us to have a sense of orderliness, new beginnings,  allows us to celebrate and get closer together with our loved ones after a busy year all long and a feeling of freshness. Indeed if you can have all these feelings everyday, you can call it your new year,  if you can have these feelings every month,  it's your new year.

 However, new year celebrations makes us feel,  every new dawn should make us feel the same too. The miracle of waking up to life after a short death we call sleep is amazing, I don't see any other miracle bigger that that. 24 hours is the greatest gift human begins can have, but like we always do,  we forget mostly about the little things,  because they are little,  we think so much about the big things because they are big, what we don't know is that it is those little things that make up the big things.  It is that little 24hours that we ignore that make up this 365 of 24 that we call a year. 

Time is a constant,  but it manifests itself in different forms.  It manifest itself in 60 seconds that we call it 1 minute, it manifest itself in form of 60 minutes that we call it 1 hour and it also the same TIME changes itself in about every 6 hours. We call the 6hours with brightness - day,  with less brightness - evening,  and with darkness - night and lastly the 6 hours before brightness we call - new dawn. 

My good people,  in the spirit of new year,  we have spent 24 hours gift we have 365 times,  what have we done with this great gift?  My people,  only if you knew,  the gift of 24 hours is greater than that of 365 days because what we achieve in 24 hours determines what we would achieve in 365 days.  And above all,  this gift is so unique that it comes only once, use it wisely. We spend our lives in diverse ways and we have our strong reasons most times for how we live, but spending our 24 hours wisely is something we need to consider very well.  How do we spent time wisely ? Why should we spend it wisely ? 

A time well spent is a time spent on acquiring values,  assets,  and the intangibles. Our individual success depends on how we spend this gift and how we are able to convert it into values that will benefit us for a lifetime and we can pass it on to younger generations. 

Time isn't money,  money is not real value,  it's only a representation of value. So do not spend real value (Time) to chase a representation (Money). Rather spend time chasing Knowledge (Wisdom), for only this will not fly away quickly.  Only wisdom and knowledge can last you a life time and you can also pass onto your generation.  Wisdom and knowledge is the only thing that has same value as Time.  So, time is not money,  time is knowledge and wisdom,  tell anybody I said so. 

Our country Nigeria need to know this enlightenment, we need to know how massively we are responsible for our happiness as a nation,  we need to know that the success and achievements of individuals in the country is the success and achievements of the nation. If we have a duplication of Dangote into 1m people, it means we have 1 million rich individuals,  which means a richer nation collectively. Dangote said "if you give me a large sum of money,  I will Invest it all in this country", that's the different between Dangote and most of us, he believes in Nigeria. 

Nigeria's problem did not start now, so,  don't expect a quick fix, it started long time ago, we will need a long time,  gradual and progressive leadership system to build up. It started as soon as the colonial masters left our land because when they left,  they left with their value system and we started plugging in our value system then things began to fall. We started to see ourselves as different,  instead of one diverse entity. Which is more powerful,  a broom stick,  or a bunch of broom sticks made to hold and stay together ? All broomsticks are not the same height,  some are shorter,  some are longer but when they are together,  that doesn't matter anymore.    

We don't need a leader that will not sin,  we need a people that can appreciate real values. When we have become this kind of people,  we can just close our eyes and pick one person at random to be a leader and we can be sure that any pick we make is a good pick because we have picked it from a people with good sense of value. If you have 100 phones in a bag,  same model,  same colour and functions, do you bother to look at each one before making your choice ? No, you just put your hand in the bag and pick any phone.  But if you have all the phones in the bag to be bad, having the same problems and malfunctioning,  no matter how you pick,  you would end up with a bad pick.  That is a good way to describe leadership. Let us all strive to become good people that any pick will be a good pick for a leader.
