OUR TEENAGERS NEED GOOD MENTORS. PART 3 -MARY BELLO

School an institution for leaning. Now, my question is ; for learning what?
In this part of the world where school is a place of favouritism and tribalism from primary to tertiary, where teachers are proud and praised for their ability to flog students mercilessly. Shool and institutions for learning,  learning almighty formula, essay writing, economics, skeleton , osmosis and all that?

School is a very big institution for indirect learning, in reality it is where you learn low self-esteem because you are sitting at the back, where teachers show special love to some students while ingnoring others, where you learn condemnation because after failing a subject twice then it is not your calling, where you learn talking people down because your teachers can't stop telling you how and why you won't progress due to your parents inability to provide you with textbooks, where you learn bribery in other to get good grades by gifting your subject teachers. Where you learn irresponsibility  from  teachers who would only send notes but will not show up to explain.

School! School!! School!!!

Are these teachers or mere instructors?
"Teachers that won't explain reasons for their actions and shy away from guiding but likes correcting."
"Teachers" that never care about the rape and sexual imoralities in school? Male teachers that dates students ? Or female teachers that crush on male students? Teachers that you cannot tell you already tried smoking, if not you will be expelled?

But do you know that is the most profitable job if you can do it whole heartedly? A job that makes you most respected in a student's life, if you can be impactful. The job that is most rewarding both in heaven and on earth.

I hail you good teachers of the world! Because all the money in the world can never repay all the good works you have done.

God bless you all.

I am very happy seeing Young Minds stand up for something,  I am self motivated myself but Ms. Titilope inspired me even more when I met her.  While she was working on her client in a photo studio she had come for her photoshoot, I made a comment : "this make up job is not easy o", and her response tells me so much about her already.  She responded and said "Yes,  it's not easy,  if you want to achieve the best".  That made me see through her as one who will go extra mile for her customer's satisfaction and delivery.  She is no doubt a visionary young lady.  Read below what she has to say about her challenges,  progress and the future of her business, Tisennah's Touch.  CAN WE MEET YOU ?  I’m Ms. Titilope Adekoya, CEO of Tisennah’s Touch TELL US ABOUT YOUR EDUCATION AND FAMILY BACKGROUND I’m an undergraduate of University of Lagos, Faculty of Art, Department of English, 400L. 2nd in a family of 5 with 2 ste...
